Spirituality

Spirituality

Spirituality is a broad concept and when people hear or read the word, everyone has their own personal experience with it. The word spiritual is ‘charged’, it carries a certain ‘charge’. In general terms, spirituality relates to matters concerning the spirit (Spiritus = spirit in Latin). The word is used in many ways and can be linked to the mind, to religion or supernatural forces, but the focus is on personal inner experiences and the meaning one gives to these experiences.

For me, spirituality is intertwined with everyday life, it is inherently woven in what you think, say and do. It is therefore not ‘floaty’ or ‘woolly’, on the contrary, spirituality can only be experienced (‘deeper knowing’), if you are grounded, down to earth and have (use) common sense.

In general, spirituality is within us and around us. People experience it in different ways and forms, depending on cultural, religious and personal backgrounds. For some, spirituality can be found in religion, while others find it in nature, animals, art, music, travel, relationships and in the connection with a Higher Power, the Universe, God, Allah.

Spirituality is inherent to consciousness. The more aware someone is of their inner core, their inner strength and thus their authenticity, the more open they will be spiritually to new experiences and insights. By becoming more aware of your inner world, you often begin to live more calmly, pay better attention, enjoy the moment more fully and experience a deeper sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, especially in the most everyday moments.

Furthermore, spirituality can help you cope better with stress and difficulties. By developing a sense of connection and drawing from a source of inner strength, you can become more resilient and handle challenges and setbacks with more flexibility.

Finally, spirituality can help you develop more compassion and empathy, both for yourself and for others. By becoming aware of your inner world and your connection with others, you can develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of the experiences of others. Additionally, you can become more friendly and more caring in your interactions with others and experience more gratitude and contentment overall.

If you have questions that are more spiritual in nature, such as questions about life’s meaning or are you struggling to let go of a loved one (human or animal) or difficulty about giving meaning to something that happened, or if you are experiencing strange energies in your home, or if your pet is suffering but you cannot understand or explain it, you can also make an appointment.

In short, if you seek more insight, explanation, siginificance and/or a clear understanding of what you are experiencing, do not hesitate to send an e-mail. Often, a single session is enough to provide more clarity and bring more peace of mind.
