Single Session Therapy (SST)

Single Session Therapy (SST)

Single Session Therapy (SST) is a form of therapy where a specific issue or topic is discussed and addressed during a single session. Anything can be discussed, and during the session, the focus is explicitly on providing advice for a well-defined complaint, issue, dilemma, or urgent situation that requires immediate attention. I offer advice, practical & concrete solutions and goal-oriented guidance tailored to the problem you’re reaching out about.

Examples of topics include: identity questions (what is important to me, what/who gives meaning to my life, how can I express myself better, how do I cope with a certain situation, etc), conflicts (disagreements with your partner, friend, colleague, parents), acute stress situations, loss experiences (divorce, death of a loved one, job loss), decision-making stress (work, study, living, relationships), heartbreak, infidelity, pregnancy, etc.

If, after the session, you feel the need for a follow-up or have another question, feel free to schedule a second SST session.

It’s also common that people would like to have an appointment, just for having a good conversation with a cup of coffee/tea in a safe, neutral environment. In this case, there might not be a clear question and/or immediate need for advice, but discussing life, sharing what’s going on, is often experienced as helpful and healing. Walk-and-talk sessions are also possible, the environment here is beautiful.
