Psychologist NIP
NIP stands for the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (Dutch Institute of Psychologists) and is the largest professional association for psychologists in the Netherlands. They advocate for psychologists as professional and for psychology as a field.
Throughout my career in Mental Health Care (GGZ), I have worked for many years in both basic GGZ and specialized GGZ. My tasks included conducting intake assessments, making provisional diagnoses, writing treatment plans, evaluation- and final reports, providing intervision, mentoring interns and conducting treatments. The target group included children, adolescents, adults and families. Over the past 12 years, I have focused primarily on adult care.
Currently, I mainly work in the non-reimbursed healthcare sector and also engage in employer programs. This means that I receive clients from multiple employers, as well as private clients who have directly registered with my practice. Non-reimbursed care has many advantages, including short waiting times and tailored treatment, in contrast to long waiting times and following rigid protocols.
In addition to on-site sessions, I also offer online sessions, which allows me to offer treatment to clients remotely, c.q. clients from other parts of the world.
You can come to me for the treatment of a variety of issues, such as anxiety and panic disorders, trauma, ADHD, ADD, autism, work stress, agoraphobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias, burnout, compulsive behaviors, OCD, grief processing, depression, general stress, eating problems, sadness, sleep issues, loneliness, excessive worrying, hypochondria, high sensitivity (HSP), giftedness, low self-esteem, personality problems, existential concerns and questions about the meaning and purpose of life.
I use an eclectic approach, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), solution-focused techniques, elements of schema therapy, insight-oriented therapy, positive psychology, etc. I combine various methods and techniques that are tailored to the person and specific request. It is always customized and individually aligned. I have developed my own style and believe it is essential that someone feels comfortable, safe to express themselves and trusts the therapeutic relationship.
I provide tools, strategies and insights with the aim of helping people regain their own strength and tap into their self-regulating and problem-solving abilities. I act as a guide and facilitator, so people can move forward authentically and autonomously. Ultimately, I work from knowledge, experience and of course, my own life lessons.
