Individual therapy

Individual therapy

Individual therapy offers a safe environment to explore personal challenges and psychological concerns. The first session is an introductory / intake, in which I ask various questions about your symptoms, circumstances, lifestyle, preferences, personal situation, wishes, expectations and your request for help. This first conversation allows me to gain a comprehensive picture and understanding of what needs attention and how I can support you. I’ll also explain how I work, and together we’ll assess whether this approach suits you and if you feel comfortable and safe with me. The main focus is initially on the here and now: What requires attention right now? If necessary and desired, we’ll also explore your personal history.

You can contact me with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety and mood disorders, stress-related symptoms, depression, specific fears and phobias, difficulties with assertiveness, fear of commitment or abandonment, attachment issues, burn-out, obsessive thoughts or behaviors, loneliness, eating disorders, performance anxiety, gender dysphoria, giftedness, high sensitivity (HSP), identity questions, insecurities, heartbreak, narcissism, low self-esteem, emotional exhaustion, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship issues (also individually), grief and loss, sleep problems, trauma, disrupted parent-child relationships, existential concerns and questions around the meaning and purpose of life.
